Within walking distance of Cayuga House, Stewart Park sits on the southern end of the lake and is home to a variety of facilities including pavilions, tennis courts, a playground with a carousel, athletic fields, walking trails, a duck pond, a spray pool, a municipal golf course and a bird sanctuary. Up the road from the park, Cornell Community Sailing provides visitors with the opportunity to sail on Cayuga Lake and offers both private and group lessons to sailors at all experience levels. Connected to the park via trails, Ithaca Farmer’s Market is a cooperative market with over 160 members who locally grow or produce vegetables, fruits, pastured meats, bakeries and artisanal gifts. The Market operates year-round and emphasizes a direct connection between producer and consumer, while promoting local agriculture.
